Zesty and comforting, these Orange Ginger Scones get their bright flavor from Twisted Fork’s Citrus Marmalade. Perfectly tender with a hint of spice, they’re a cozy bake that brings homemade sunshine to your table.
This recipe makes about 8 scones
· 6 tbsp of butter
· 3 2/3 c of all-purpose flour
· ½ c sugar
· 2 tsp baking powder
· 3 tbsp Citrus Marmalade
· 1 to 1 ½ tbsp of milk
In a large bowl cut the butter into the flour – course crumb- add the sugar, marmalade and baking powder. Gradually add the milk tossing with a fork until soft dough forms.
Knead on floured surface to form smooth dough. Roll out to 1 ½” thick and cut into 2 “biscuits.
Brush with milk and bake 20 minutes until golden brown at 400 F oven. Serve with butter and extra marmalade!
